Interior - Hotel´s entrance hall in Prague
In this project we were to use a gap site between the building of a hotel and a house of flats. The whole gap site is used by the hotel. The first floor is designed for the entrance hall with reception and seats. On the second floor, there is small internet cafe. Between floors is central stair, which I decided to use like architectural element
Brown is the main colour of this space. I suppose that this hotel will be occupied mainly by working men, because this gap site is situated in a big city like Prague but not in the centre. Brown colour was chosen specially for tired and run-down people, which came to hotel only for sleeping accommodation. Nevertheless the entrance hall usually serves as the meeting point, for that reason the prevailing materials are granite, glass and chromium, because this materials sharpen mind.
